Rachel from Sport Waikato visited our school recently and covered bike safety and the skills needed to ride a bike well. The number of Waihi East School children with bikes and helmets was terrific. The skills covered included fitting your helmet correctly, checking your bike for road worthiness and how to handle your bike safely in a variety of situations.
